Can Serrat is an old farmhouse, refurbished in 1989 as a centre for creation and production, with different spaces and workshops. Each year a jury selects 6 international and national projects; 2 for writing, 3 for visual arts, and 1 for music and sound. Each open call enables around twenty artists to live and create at Can Serrat with a full or partial grant. Within the residency programme, the team develops and lends support to artists facilitating the production of their projects, with: artistic mentoring, human and material resources, connections on a local and international level, housing and food.
